If I were still a sailor as I was when I was younger I would consider the Ultra just for the better battery life and the more precise GPS. Electric energy is a scarce ressource on sailing boats and a trip from Agadir to the Canary Islands takes two nights and three days, there we are at 60 hours . Backing up what is available on a sailing boat as GPS equipment may come in handy in emergency situations. I would take an turned off iPhone 14 on that trip as well, just for the satellite emergency call stuff (if that is available in the region I am going to). Better be safe than sorry.

Otherwise here in Germany it is very hard to get into a emergency situations where that stuff come in handy. If you are somewhere climbing the Alps it may be. Everywhere else there is net coverage and people passing by frequently. That's very much unlike the USA which has big deserted areas where one can get lost.
