So how many of the Trump voters are in his cult really? Let's take the 70% of his voters who believe his baseless claims that the election was rigged. They have no demand for facts and logic to prove it. They just believe Trump.

Once you start to believe Trumps claims everything he does is right and to be supported. Even a coup would be.

That is still an incredible strong base for the fascist movement Trump has turned the GOP into. And every GOP candidate for anything has to appease this base.

And if the rest of GOP voters do so just as the GOP candidate is no Democrat at least they add to the power of this movement.

That is why Trump is going away, but Trumpism is not. The GOP will remain a lingering threat to the US democracy, a desaster waiting to happen, just think of republican majorities in both the House and the Senate and the election coup attempt going to happen on 1/6/2021 would be successful.
